Today we’ll hear from Josh Dill, STS Director of Sports & Events, Visit Frisco. Josh works to promote Frisco as a premier year-round sports & events tourism destination in order to increase economic impact to the City of Frisco. Oversees the sales activities of the sports market, sports sales manager, and the sports services staff.
At our last October 27th meeting, we heard from Jill Scigliano, Chief Executive Officer of The Samaritan Inn. The mission of the Samaritan Inn is to provide a comprehensive homeless program that helps willing people gain dignity and independence. It is a transitional housing program that provides residents with resources and skills needed to gain independence and ultimately be self-sufficient. In 2021, they touched approximately 1,289 lives by providing services to community members, residents and non-residents, housed 589 people, with 211 of them children. They served 133,426 nutritional meals provided 4,710 sessions of case management, 2,571 counseling sessions, with over 380 financial education & career development class hours. Provided $168,131 in financial assistance through supplies, daycare, children's services, work/career supplies, and medical assistance. They provided 5,870 hours of babysitting, tutoring, after school programs, and summer enrichment opportunities
