Dr. Scott Stewart is the Executive Director of Kaleidoscope Park Foundation and is passionate about the critical role public space plays in elevating arts, cultural, and tourism economies. His mission: change lives by developing and sustaining open, equitable, and representative arts and culture spaces of significant community impact. Scott believes Kaleidoscope Park will become the regional standard-bearer in this regard and sees his role with the Foundation as curating the uncompromisingly high standards in art, architecture, design, and performance that will be the underpinnings of the Park. Scott has held previous positions with Millennium Park, Lurie Garden, Park District of Oak Park, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service. Scott travels the globe speaking to governmental bodies, architects, urban planners, artists, and others about the cultural, tourism, and economic opportunities of arts and culture-focused public spaces. Scott holds a Ph.D. in Environmental Horticulture from the University of Florida and bachelor’s degrees in biology, Chemistry, and English from Illinois College.
