This Week at Rotary
Chief Shilson was named Chief of Police for Frisco Police Department in November 2019. Prior to coming to Frisco, Shilson was a police officer for the College Station, Texas Police Department. Shilson holds a Master of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Bachelor of Science in Political Science from Texas A&M. Shilson is a graduate of the FBI National Academy, the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas, the Senior Management Institute for Police, and the ILEA 83rd School of Police Supervision.
Shilson began at the Frisco Police Department in 2002 and has held various ranks and positions, to include Patrol Corporal, Traffic/PatrolSergeant, Patrol/Traffic/Administrative Lieutenant, and Deputy Chief over the Operations, Services, and Investigations Bureaus.
Chief Shilson is also a member of various police and community organizations and associations. Chief Shilson is married to his wife Jana of 23 years and he has a son Jacob 17, and daughter Hadley who is 11.
