About Tony,
I moved to Frisco in 1997, joined the Frisco Chamber of Commerce team in 2004, and, since that time, have seen both the community and landscape change rapidly! In my time as a resident, the population has grown from 16,000 to over 200,000 today…and surprisingly, there is still room to grow.
Even with all of this growth, approximately 30% of Frisco’s land is still available for development, including the 2,500 contiguous acres in the Field’s Development in the northern part of the city, which encompasses 600-acres being developed for the PGA World Headquarters. Also, in 2021, Frisco will welcome its first Fortune 500 company. This continued growth, with new development and redevelopment projects, means more jobs in Frisco, increased sales tax revenue, stable property taxes, and more opportunities for everyone!
Frisco continues to add to our city’s long list of accolades. In March 2020, Frisco was ranked the “Most Recession-Resilient City in America,” and later earned “America’s Best Cities to Be Stuck at Home”… which proves there is always a silver lining in every situation! In 2019, Frisco topped the list as the number one city for job growth and the number two city for purchasing a home. In 2018, Money Magazine named Frisco the “Best Place to Live in America.” Our business and community leaders are always moving us forward by embracing innovation, cutting-edge technology, and forming new partnerships to enhance our city. This past year was no exception!
While the community is experiencing continued growth, the Frisco Chamber staff is also working hard to stay at the forefront of the rapidly changing business climate. Last year, the Frisco Chamber of Commerce celebrated our 50th anniversary and, in late 2019, received a 5-Star Accreditation by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a designation held by only 1.5% of all chambers of commerce! As we look ahead, the primary focus of the Frisco Chamber of Commerce will continue to serve as the “Voice of Business” and be problem-solvers, advocating for what is best for the business community, thereby contributing to and improving the entire North Texas region.
On behalf of our business community, we look forward to helping you make the most of your time in Frisco. It won’t take you long to figure out why Frisco is an emerging destination for those choosing to live, work, or play (or perhaps all three) in our amazing city. We look forward to YOU being a part of our story and continued growth!
